Live Life.

Hi There,

Hi There! My name is Natalie and I have a passion for healthy living. I aim to live life, eat well and practice yoga, which is why that is my slogan for Nat Attacks A Balanced Life.

I started Nat Attacks a few years ago and with hard work and persistence, I was able to overcome my struggles with disordered eating. It’s something I still work on daily, but I’m so much happier than I used to be. I no longer count calories, weigh myself obsessively, binge eat, or workout compulsively. Balanced is how I feel in my life now.

I find that living a fulfilling life and practicing lots of yoga and other fitness regimes requires me to eat a wholesome diet packed with nutrients and staying power to keep me going. I do this by ‘eating well’, and by this I mean a balanced diet packed with plant-based whole foods. I aim to avoid processed foods, artificitial sweeteners and refined white sugars and flours.

My mission is to find a healthy balance without sacrificing anything or feeling guilty about indulging on occasion. I aim to live a 80/20 lifestyle, which means that I eat well 80% of the time so that I can indulge 20% and life live to the fullest.Β  I hope to share my knowledge as I explore my journey into wellness. I will share my recipes, healthy alternatives, my goals, my inspiration and tasty motivation to keep you in balance.

I hope that is some way, shape or form I can inspire you.

Live Life. Eat Well. Practice Yoga

  3. Found your blog through and am looking forward to following along.
I moved to New Zealand from Toronto in April 2009 and love it here. It really is one of the most beautiful places on earth, imho.

When you do open that fitness centre and cafe, can you make it up here in Auckland? We’re sadly missing some good, quality “health centres” here!

    • Hey Danielle,

Thank you so much for your comment.

What made you move to New Zealand, it truly is such an amazing country despite the lack of health centres, health stores and products. All good though we will make do, wont we.

Haha, Auckland is an idea. I do plan on making a move up to Auckland potentially at some stage. Maybe even next year to study food nutrition.

Thank so much for the comment. It means a lot to me.

  4. Just found your blog! I’m a california girl living in Singapore at the moment and dating an Aussie. I’m a performer but have studied massage therapy and dabble in vegan baking. I want to open a delicious cafe attached to the beach and a yoga studio or something of the sort some day. With an unhealthy past behind me I work to find a balance in life as well, enjoying the beautiful delicious things but also looking and feeling fabulous. Can’t wait to read more and I hope to get to New Zealand in the not too distant future πŸ™‚

    • Its a much different life then Cali! I am trying to enjoy and embrace every day! I hope you keep reading my blog and fulfill your goals on opening a beach cafe and yoga studio one day.

  5. I frequent the one organic market in Albany (Auckland) and every time I come home I tell my husband that someone needs to open up a large organic market and healthy take-away, like Whole Foods in the states, but not as commerical. I lived in Venice for years adn there was this store called “One-life” on main street, have you been there? I would like to move that whole store down here. πŸ™‚ You walk in and feel good, the smells of natural foods cooking, fresh juice being squeezed and essential oils. Bliss.
